We would like to keep you informed about the Eystrup Open 2025. After we published the participants here a week ago, we would like to pass on further important information to you.
Waiting list
As announced in the FAQ’s, we have created a waiting list. This has also been drawn by lot. The people on this list were contacted by us today. This list will come into effect if an already confirmed participant cancels.
All other applicants who have already received a rejection will have no realistic chance of participating. If a participant has already been confirmed, please cancel in good time so that we can act quickly.

Participant field
Finally, some information about the field of participants. We have decided to have 90 instead of 72 players at the start. We were literally overwhelmed with applications. Of course, it’s great to host such a popular tournament. But let us tell you, every cancellation hurts.
The result of this increase in the field is as follows:
We are now playing the tournament in 6 groups of 5 teams each. 30 teams will start. Each team consists of 3 players. We put the team together. The groups will be drawn shortly before the tournament. Information about the date later. Due to the increase in the starting field, only the group leader and 2 group runners-up will advance to the quarterfinals after the group matches. There we will play in a simple knockout system until the final.
We think we have done the right thing.
